The Lawyer 4 Me: Passionate about making the legal system more accessible for those who cannot afford it in Missouri.

This service has been created recognizing that access to the justice system can be cost prohibitive. It should not be that way; it is not supposed to be that way. The reality is that attorneys are not cheap, and navigating the maze of the legal system on your own is potentially dangerous. It is best practice to have your own lawyer. For some people, that is not financially feasible. The concept here is to offer legal paperwork drafted by a real lawyer at prices that will make it easier for people to access the legal system on their own. This service will not be representing people in court and cannot make any guarantees about the outcome of any case in court. We are just providing the paperwork. At this time, we are only working in the State of Missouri, as that is where this business is based and our attorney is licensed. We are focusing primarily on family law at this time. It is our hope in the future to branch out both into other geographic areas, as well as other areas of law. The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements. If you want a lawyer, then please carefully go find the right one for you. But we feel like this service could provide a benefit for some people.

Kimberly Kollmeyer | Attorney at Law

Kim Kollmeyer opened this law firm in 2015 and has built this business from the ground up. Much of her business has been in public interest. She takes appointments in various kinds of cases for individuals who cannot otherwise afford counsel. It is a source of frustration for her to see people struggle in court because they cannot afford the assistance of a lawyer. This legal drafting service is a new concept that Kim is trying to put together to help make the legal system a little more accessible to people who just cannot afford a lawyer.

Kim Kollmeyer has been licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri since 2012. She practiced law for the Missouri Public Defender System before opening her own firm in 2015. She has successfully handled all sorts of cases, conducted trials, and hearings, and has filed some limited motions in the Courts of Appeals. Today Kim mostly practices in the Juvenile Courts, representing parents who could not otherwise afford counsel. From time to time she helps the Public Defender’s office out by taking some contract appointments. Kim is also frequently appointed as a Guardian ad Litem for local children. She finds her purpose in assisting people as they navigate the complex maze of the legal system.

Kim received her bachelors degree in Political Science with honors from Lincoln University. She received her law degree with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a veteran of the United States Army and served a tour in Iraq. She lives on a farm in central Missouri with her husband and four children. She is active with her church, involved with her children’s lives, enjoys business projects, and is always busy on the farm.
